A Lotus Evora finished in stunning ‘Chrome Orange’ paintwork
I’m always on the lookout for locations to use in my automotive work so when the owner of this Evora got in touch for a shoot, I knew exactly where to head. It’s a driver’s car so the full set is based around rural roads which provide not only a suitable backdrop but also, being some way from streetlamps, provide the opportunity to control all aspects of lighting on location.
Lightpainting a car should be all about neat highlights to help define the car’s shape but these reflections can look out of place in a static scene. By incorporating dynamic elements such as the drifting cloud and passing traffic, the highlights are more tightly integrated in the scene.
